I will say to the respected students. Meaning, some remarks for them, even though I feel quite audacious to speak because when a person is in front those who are his superiors and his teachers, he contains himself and stiffens. Such is human nature. That when he is in front of those who are higher, superior and more respectable than himself, it is preferred for him to remain quiet out of etiquette and not to be pretentious.
The scholars of Hadith have said that when a person is in a city and a traveller arrives, who is more knowledgable than him regarding Hadith, or Fiqh, or Tafseer, or history, etc. The one who is less knowledgable should remain quiet and not speak out of respect for knowledge and honour for one who is superior. Because the Messenger ﷺ said: “Whoever does not respect our seniors, is not one of us.” Our seniors in knowledge have a status. Our seniors in merit have a status. Our seniors in goodness have a status. Our seniors in struggle have a status. Our seniors in anything good have a status. If we do not respect them, then we have no value.
